Theme of today’s Mass: “Such sure hope”: However cruelly the world may treat us, we can always rejoice in the glorious future promised to us by Christ, when we shall be filled with the vision of God’s glory.
Remembrance Sunday: Today is Remembrance Sunday when we pray for those who died or who have suffered as a result of armed conflict. You are invited to write the names of victims on a card (available at the back of church) and place this in the basket at the back of church before Mass. Additional details may be added if you so wish. The basket will be brought up to the altar at the Offertory. “We will remember them.”
Sick List: Please pray for the following members of our parish: Beryl Ford, Bernard Moyers, Patrick Hodgson, Angela Doyle, Ida De Melo, Maurice Nixon, Eva Shirreffs, Stefania Stasior, Irene Pallot.
Grave Blessing: Today’s Grave Blessing will take place at SilebyCemetery. If you would like Fr John to bless the grave of any of your dear departed, please join him at the entrance to the cemetery at 2.00pm and accompany him to the grave in question. Next Sunday’s Blessing will be at Loughborough Cemetery.
Masses for the Dead: During November we remember the Holy Souls at every Mass. If you would like to include someone in the intentions of the Mass, please use one of the “Month of the Holy Souls” envelopes at the back of church. Simply write the name(s) on a slip of paper, place the slip in the envelope, seal the envelope and place it in the basket in front of the altar. Please do not put any money in these envelopes.
If you would like a Mass to be celebrated on a particular day, please use the Mass Intentions envelopes as usual,
