Mass Theme: “Jesus is Lord”. Today we praise God for the marvellous things he did for our ancestors, when he heard their cry of distress and with his mighty hand and outstretched arm led them to freedom. What he did for them he still does for us, in Jesus the Lord who conquered sin and death.
Welcome:We welcome Father Denis Labartette who will celebrate Mass with us today. “Soyez le bienvenu, Père Denis.”
Sick list: Please pray for the following members of our parish: Bernard Moyers, Maurice Nixon, Irene Pallot, Eva Shirreffs, Stefania Stasior, Terry Cantle, Ida De Melo, Angela Doyle, Beryl Ford.
Finances: Collection 24thFebruary: £132.80. Many thanks. (Cheques to “St Gregory’s RC Parish”)
Masses this week: Please note that Wednesday of this week is Ash Wednesday and Mass will be held here in Sileby at 9.30am and at 7.30pm in Syston.
1st Sunday of Lent: Parishioners are invited to wear something purple next Sunday to mark the beginning of the season of Lent.

Parish Pastoral Council: The next meeting of the PPC is scheduled for 14th March. Parishioners may submit items for consideration to any PPC member.
Mary’s Meals: We raised a total of £255 for the parish Advent Charity. This amount will be match-funded by the Government which means that, with the additional income generated by Gift Aid donations, we will have helped to provide a nutritious meal for forty children for an entire school year.
Nottingham Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes: This will take place from 14th – 19th July. There are details in the plastic wallet on the notice board at the back of church and/or: www.tangney-tours.com/nottingham.
Fairtrade Fortnight: (25th February to 10th March) This year, the focus of Fairtrade Fortnight will be cocoa and cocoa farmers, focusing mainly on West Africa, where much of the world's cocoa is grown. The campaign will highlight how many cocoa farmers, particularly women, are underpaid and exploited, and the scandal of unfair trade. Through fair trade, farmers and growers can earn enough to feed their families, send their children to school, and provide a future for their local community: https://www.traidcraftshop.co.uk/fairtrade-fortnight
After Mass: Please come and join us in the Social Centre for a cup of tea/coffee/soft drink and a chat. If you are a newcomer or a visitor you are particularly welcome.
