Mass Theme: “The Lord in whom we put our faith”. Like Abraham, our father in faith, we are called by God to a new homeland. We are not to rest in the material comforts of this world, but to move onwards to the land of promise, where the Lord in whom we put our faith will transfigure our mortal bodies into the likeness of his glorified body.

The attached reflection focuses on a family of Syrian refugees and the welcome they have had in this country. The plight of asylum seekers and refugees has long been a consideration of our Justice and Peace Group with one member active in the work of “Loughborough Town of Sanctuary” whose members welcome them outside the Home Office Reporting Centre giving them information about sources of help and providing them with free vouchers for food and drink at John Storer House.
