Pentecost Sunday Bidding Prayers: Sincere thanks to all those who helped in the Bidding Prayers last Sunday. It was a moving and a memorable occasion.
Ronald Sleath RIP: A member of this parish since the early 60s, Ron passed away in Leicester Royal Infirmary on Saturday 19th May. Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife, Pauline.
Peter Newby RIP: The funeral service for Peter will take place at Loughborough Crematorium on Thursday 31st May at 9.30.
This Friday there will be no Massas Fr. Peter has to attend a safeguarding meeting in Nottingham at 10.00. There will be a service of Word and Sacrament instead.

Sponsor a Mass Book: The new set of Mass books begins today. Please give some thought to the possibility of sponsoring a Mass Book or a set of Mass Books at £2 per book in memory of someone dear to you or requesting prayers for a special intention. Please see Kathryn Timmons who will advise on the wording to be used and arrange for inserts in the books you sponsor.
Parish Retreat: This will take place on Saturday 9thJune at the Rosminian Centre (10.00 – 3.00). Details are posted at the back of church. Please sign up if you would like to attend. Transport available to those who need it.
Forty Hours Adoration: Our Deanery will be celebrating Forty Hours Adoration from Tuesday 29th May - Friday 1st June, leading up to the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration for ten continuous hours in four different churches, from 10am until 8pm, closing with Benediction. This will take place at The Rosmini Centre, Ratcliffe on Tuesday 29th May; Our Lady of Lourdes, Ashby, on Wednesday 30th May; St. Winefride’s, Shepshed, on Thursday 31stMay and St. Mary’s, Loughborough, on Friday 1st June. Do please make every endeavour to spend at least some time in one or more of the Churches before Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament, especially in this year when the Church as a whole comes together for its National Congress on the Eucharist - ‘Adoremus’.
Eucharistic Ministers:at Mass next Sunday, the feast of Corpus Christi, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will renew their commitment in a short ceremony. Please remember to bring your own scapulars.
A message from Father Clement:Thank you very much for all your continued prayers and support. I am deeply touched and amazed especially as the three Masses offered last weekend were dedicated for my intentions. I will also remember you and pray for your intentions as I celebrate the holy Mass every day. I am so grateful for this unity and love we share in Christ.
Staff Vacancies – Sisters of St Joseph of Peace
The Sisters are looking for new dedicated staff members to work for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in the United Kingdom, who are soon to relocate to Nottingham from Rearsby. Attractive salaries and working hours. The closing deadline for both positions is 6:00pm on Friday 15 June 2018. The new position of Business Managerwill oversee all financial activities, personnel management, and coordination of maintenance needs of properties owned and rented by the Sisters. The new Health & Wellbeing Coordinator will promote the holistic care, health and wellbeing of sisters.
