Leicestershire Active Catholic Youth(LACY) will be having their next Working Group meeting at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Countesthorpe Road, South Wigston, Leicestershiore, LE18 4PG. on Wednesday 13th June at 7.30 p.m. and will be finished by 9.00 p.m. Light refreshments of tea/coffee etc., will be available. We warmly invite all older teenagers, young adults and those people of any age who would be interested in helping prepare occasional spiritual and fun-filled occasions for our young people of comprehensive school age and upwards, to come along and be a part of our working team, or just come along to see what we are about! Help us to plan forthcoming special occasions for our young people where they will have the opportunity to share their faith with their friends! See us on Facebook - request to become a member! Quiz night for Namibia: Young parishioner, Daisy Whiteman, is organising a Quiz Night to raise funds for her school charity trip to Namibia. This will be held this Saturday 16th June from 6.00pm to 10.00pm in the Social Centre. Cost: £5 per adult and £2 for children. Bring your own drinks. Food is provided. There will be a quiz and a raffle and all proceeds will go to her Namibia fund raising. If you have any queries, would like to buy a ticket (or make a donation), please contact Jo Whiteman on 07740431120 or speak to either Daisy or Jo at church.

Day for Life: this is the day in the Church’s year dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition. The Church teaches that life is to be nurtured from conception to natural death. Next Sunday (17thJune) there will be a second collection,the proceeds of which assist the work of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre and other life-related activities supported by the Church.
