Christmas Fayre 2019

The annual Christmas Fayre was held on Saturday 30th November. Stalls included books, bottles, children’s bran tub, toys, fancy goods, children’s chocolate tombola, Christmas gifts, tombola stall, repository and our favourite cake stall. Tasty refreshments were available throughout. Santa found time in his busy schedule to pay us a visit to the delight of the children. Not only is this occasion our major fundraising event of the year, it is also a lovely social gathering (despite the hard work) both for the local community and for the parish. The magnificent sum of £1,526.29 was raised, thanks in no small part to the generosity of all who supported the event and the raffle whose wonderful prize list is always a major factor. This will principally go to the cover the annual insurance costs to safeguard the church, the house and the hall. The sigh of relief of the Finance Committee chairman could be heard as far away as Quorn!
