The Bondhon Bangladesh Project
The Friends of St Gregory's generously support the work of the Bondhon Bangladesh Project. Peter Cantle is closely involved with the work of this charity and he reports as follows:
As you can see below, it was very gratefully received and helped to provide provisions for 100 of the poorest families who were stranded in their homes by this year's exceptional flooding. The pictures show our Project boat ferrying supplies from Habiganj to the village of Muradpur and distributing the parcels out and about. This lifeline has enabled these families to survive until the floods recede so thank you to all concerned.
An email message came e from one of the workers on the ground:
Hi peter how r you? We are fine.we are very greatful to you.i receive your money whice r spend to buying rice,onion,oil,salt & lenti. Today we distribution this packag. I hope you receiv our heartiest love more today,convey our best regards.
