Every year the Holy Trinity Church in Barrow upon Soar stages a Christmas Tree festival over the first weekend in December. This year it took place from 4th - 6th December and there were eighty-seven trees on display, each one representing some aspect of life in the village. We are grateful that once again Kathryn Timmons exhibited a tree to represent the Barrow Catholic Community. It was decorated with brief excerpts from Laudato Si, reflections to be undertaken during Advent based on Pope Francis’s special letter on Ecology – an appeal to treat nature and mother Earth with love.
